Note: The factory doing our porcelain dinnerware uses co-generation technology to make sure that no heat generated during the manufacturing process is wasted. Dispersed heat from the kiln area is captured and diverted into two uses:
1) As heat to dry the wet, newly-formed clay bodies to prepare them for firing.
2) For use in electricity generation to fuel the co-generation plant that runs the air conditioning for the offices.

We've taken great care in new packaging methods to remove all styrofoam and bubble wrap from the packaging to be friendlier to the environment. These are quickly becoming my favorite for weeknight meals. They have a nice modern shape and are perfect for sloppier dishes like noodles or stews.
Although not a flaw, they are not as bright white as I hoped so they don't go well with my blue willow and other porcelain dishes.
